About

I hold a Master’s degree in structural engineering from the École Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Beyrouth (1983) and began my career in France with Bureau Veritas, as a building inspector in the Île-de-France region. Over seven years I inspected all kinds of buildings and completed in-depth training in masonry, façades, waterproofing, roofing, fire safety, soil mechanics and special foundations.

Back in Lebanon in 1996, I opened my own structural engineering and design practice. Since 1999 I have led BATISPRO, a construction consulting and management firm, while also developing residential buildings in Antelias, Jal el Dib, Zouk Mosbeh and Broumana.

With BATISPRO I have worked on a wide range of projects: a 36,000 m² sports club in Bsalim, an amphitheatre and a monastery in Jamhour, schools in Jamhour and Jbeil, a residential complex of two buildings and six villas in Fatqa, underground structures in Hazmieh, and villas, churches and monasteries across Mount Lebanon.

Since 1996 I have also taught at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA), where I run the course on general construction methods. Passing on the logic of the building site to future architects is part of the job.
